The industry that encompasses the production, processing and distribution of fibers, yarns, fabrics, finished goods, and other home textile sectors is termed as the textile industry and it remains one of the largest and heterogeneous sectors of the modern world economy. This is the second oldest industry after the agricultural sector providing a historical background and adaptive nature with the changing worldview, the technological progress, development of fashion and international market demands. The fabric has various levels of production where growing or obtaining raw materials is only one of the levels of many, which culminates in export and domestic sales of finished wearable and non-wearable products.
